My plex doesn't like to record any more

I’ve been using the DVR feature extensively on Plex. Even through the beta I’ve had really good luck with things just working. Starting this Monday my recordings showed as starting (the red record symbol in the schedule view) but they never finish. In fact, a lot of them don’t even make a file in the .grab folder. Some have made files in the .grab folder but are small (80kb or so). The record icon stayed on Mondays and Tuesdays shows even after they were scheduled. I rebooted the server and it shows no history on those days.

Below is a link to my log files, can anyone let me know what happened? I’m trying to record a show now just as a test, currently it is 5 minutes in and shows as 0kb in the .grab folder but i’m not sure if this is normal or not. Any help is appreciated.

I have the same problem which appears to have started after the latest upgrade.

I’ve been having this problem for over a month now. Two recordings (Saturday Night Live on NBC, Funniest home videos on ABC) both recorded fine but haven’t recorded in months. They still show up on my program guide to be recorded but never do. I have no problems with other planned recordings (60 minutes) or spontaneously scheduled shows (football).

Are you guys still experiencing this? I’ve been having this issue for several versions now. I thought that maybe some service was crashing, so I set an automatic reboot on my PMS system every night, which seemed to alleviate it, but it happened again yesterday.

Nothing after that - logs captured 8th November 17:24

If there is a problem when using the current version of Plex Media Server - 1.10.1.4561 - please provide fresh logs with details of what was being recorded and when and what the issue is.

It “fixed itself” after a forced update. Not sure what happened, lost a few days worth of recordings but now it’s back. Thanks.
