GuestDJ - Praise

While meandering through Plexamp 4.5 on Mac desktop, I stumbled across the GuestDJ button in the playback screen. Really like the choices that are offered, especially the Twofer. Prior I would sometimes manually insert a twofer in my own playlist playback, but this works decently well. I have ran into some occurrences where the following track was NOT the same artist despite the GuestDJ icon was shown next to the track. If I run across this again I will post screen shots, but other than that, GuestDJ is a welcomed addition to my day to day feature set.

Thanks Plexamp Team!

Thanks, we appreciate it!

It is my understanding that this feature requires 1.29.2 server which has not been released in the public domain (beta only). Does that mean the feature is also in beta?

What difference does it make?

I just installed Mac server 1.29.2.6364, but I guess you could be correct about the minimum version requirement. I have had very little problems with being on the beta channel.

As far as Plexamp is concerned, since it is considered beta, I would assume everything that goes in it is considered beta. From my experience, Plexamp has had a really good stability track record. Yes, there have been a couple little oopsies, but the dev team is pretty to quick to diagnose, correct, and deploy an improved version in a timely manner.

It also doesn’t hurt to have the team leader, Elan, being music junkie that has many of the same requests of a music player that we do. Despite being considered beta, I have no reservations about using Plexamp anywhere and everywhere.
