Hi, I have really dumb question (basically have not been on the forums for a number of years). I am located in Australia and some years ago I linked my HD Homerun tuner to Plex. At the time Plex wasn’t providing guide data or if it was it didn’t go a week ahead for recording. So I have been purchasing data from IceTV.
I wandered on the forums today and noted that on one part that Australia isn’t supported for guide data on one listing but then seems to in another, which has me confused. Further, when I go into Plex setting I cannot see my IceTV setup.
Could someone tell me whether I get guide data under plex and if so, is it only data that’s current or up to the next few hours or also for the upcoming week? thanks & confused.
I‘m also located in Australia, and Plex will provide you with current and future airing data. I have found the IceTV guide to be more accurate though, and have been using that since it was supported.
thanks Dave, appreciate the information given the seemingly contradictory info on the site. Previously I had to input the feed address for the EPG info into Plex but I am now not sure where this is - do you know where in the settings i can find this? Prob will not change it if you say its more accurate though.
Essentially, you need to delete the DVR, and set it up again, and then select Freeview [Melbourne/Sydney/wherever] as the guide. It’s annoying that you have to delete and recreate it, but I’m not aware of any other way to do it.
