My Live TV Guide in plex is showing “To Be Announced” for certain channels, some other channels seem to be not affected.
Tried manually updating Live TV Guide multiple times over a few days.
Tried deleting DVR entirely and readding.
Restarted Plex Docker container
I have the same issue in Canberra too I note this week. I use the Freeview data option as my EPG source. I too use the HDHomeRun Quatro DVB network tuner for my Plex. I have rolled back, deleted existing Plex settings in Docker, even doing a reset on my HDHomeRun, all to no avail.
For now I have got around the issue by instead changing my EPG data source to XMLTV.net data. But I find this data not as good as received by Freeview here in Australia.
I have even emailed Freeview Australia to see if they are aware.
Same issue in Melbourne. Seem to start on Tuesday. Also used Freeview - Melbourne for data. Seemed to start refreshing guide data but “stopped” or finished at 10%.
If only we had the ability on Plex to manually schedule a DVR recording. A long requested feature seemingly long ignored by Plex. And an option to source actual embedded EPG data from the FTA DVB ASI stream instead of relying on 3rd party source data. Oh well.
The Live TV 2 Sources you mention on the Plex App are for what is on the network tuner or NAS and the other is for the Plex Live FAST channels only, not 2 sets of FTA EPGS.
Most of us here who use network DVB tuners that record onto a NAS prefer the ability to skip ad breaks which you can not do with the likes of 10Play, SevenPlus, NineNow etc, And besides recordings stay forever on a NAS, whereas these TV Network catch-up Apps do not have content on their sites forever.
Could be, I note some other threads mention a CloudFlare issue as well?
Being so widely reported here and in other threads, you would hope Plex are looking into this?
Plex is trying to get guide but in doing so (via an API call to endpoint: epg.provider.plex.tv) it is receiving a non ok http status error code of 502.
When you try and make that API call manually, you get an error saying CloudFare (which seems to be an in between service providing secure access) is not letting these calls through.
PLEX : please review this, and restore what is our paid access to the DVR feature !!
Yes I have noticed that too. Various channels across Melbourne not updating guide showing “To Be Announced” or “To Be Advised Later”. SBSHD from Friday morning and most other channels from Saturday morning.
Last night I went to my Plex server, configuration settings, Live TV and DVR and downloaded the guide manually again. Took a while (at least 15-20 mins), and I monitored it via the console option. Only issues reported seemed non fatal, and, unlike to the previous situation, the download continued to 100%. Eventually channels programs appeared on the main Tv Guide.
So I am sorted. Not sure if it was my end. If anyone experiencing the same, id suggest manually invoke a guide refresh and monitoring the log for fatal errors.
