Had to reformat computer - new install of plex wont load

Just installed the latest plex server on a fresh installation of mac os mojave. it is the only app installed apart from google chrome.

I launched it after moving to my applications folder and signed in, and it just sits there with a black screen and spinning circle for the last 30 minutes and nothing is happening.

No idea what is going on. Anyone who can maybe shed some light? I had to do a reformat as my os had gotten corrupted and could no longer access shares, so I figured I would just start over.

Not sure why plex wont get me to the server dashboard or anything.

Perhaps I am missing something.

I tried with safari and chrome and the same issue is happening.

How are you accessing the server in Safari and Chrome?
I take it the server itself is running and you’re using the bundled version of the web app (http://127.0.0.1:32400/web)?
Also… what version of PMS do you have installed on your Mac (e.g. beta [1.27.0] vs. public [1.26.2])?

Yes standard public version fresh download from Plex website. I open it my browser shows the 127.0.0.1 and a black screen and spinning circle in the middle.

It ashes me to log in which I did then nothing. Very strange.

When I first setup Plex a couple of years ago I had no issue it opened and ran without issue and I was able to add my media and done. Had been flawless since then except when my is got corrupted so I just formatted and reinstalled

Any browser plug-ins or other blockers that could mess up the web app?

I got it fixed. Luckily I backed up my database and restored it and boom up and running perfectly. Had to adjust some Plex libraries permissions but all good now
