Plex app will not open on my mac

Hi there,

I cannot get my plex app to open on my mac it just will not open how ever my times i try to open it.
I cannot get my server online without it.

This is happening a lot, so your not on your own.

What MacOS?
What Server version?

Thankyou

Hi
Mac os is Mojave 10.14.6
Latest server version I completely removed plex then reinstalled and it worked but when i shut the plex app down on the computer it won’t open again.

I found that when I installed the new MacOS, Catalina, Plex couldn’t access my media anymore. When I restored my old MacOS, it worked for a while, but when the computer was restarted , it went back to the old system. Must be some sort of fail safe for the Mac. Bloody annoying…I have tried 3 times, and each time, after a few days, it’s reverts back to the newer OS. I’m about to restore my Mac back to factory settings, with an older version of the OS and see if that works.

I am also having this issue.

Setup:
Mac Mini 2011
El Capitan
Latest version of Plex Media Server

Issues:
-PMS won’t start. Crashes immediately after launch.
-Media library not available on web (since PMS won’t launch)
-Reinstalling PMS doesn’t change the outcome
-Restarting Mac Mini doesn’t resolve issue

Other info:
-backing up my Plex databases to Google Drive
-This has not caused any issues whatsoever for nearly 5 years
-Plex seems to have updated automatically in recent weeks and since this update the issue
has manifested
-Logs available, though I don’t see a way to attach files here

SOLVED: I just found this article about corrupt databases, and the steps to fix worked flawlessly for me.

Running into this exact issue. Tried following the steps in the article about “Repairing a Corrupt Database,” but it doesn’t seem to be fixing anything. I cannot open my Server at all - the icon flashes briefly as it tries to open, but then goes away. Extremely frustrating!!

Same here. It’s driving me nuts. It’s probably my favorite app but can’t use it right now.
I come back every few days to try something new and it never works.
