Hard Drive Filling while watching TV Tuner

Why is Plex filling the hard drive when watching Live TV? It’ll run and then hiccup I guess clearing the least amount of space it can then start to run again for a couple minutes. Why isn’t it just dropping all but the last “X” minutes instead of ruining the live playback?

Following. I may have lost the Superbowl at halftime for this reason.

IIRC the live tv stream uses the transcode folder to store the live stream buffer.

raw live tv can take a loooot of space, especially long running streams like sports games and long movies or bing watching.

I went to Minnesota to visit my daughter. They had a pretty big Super Bowl party, but they don’t have cable. Plex was totally saving the day, until half time… when it biffed hard.

I haven’t really dug in, but is there a way to change the directory that Live TV uses? I have 2TB on a solid state that the OS and Plex reside on. I can totally see that filling up, especially since I’d had Fox on for several hours pre-game.

I have oceans of Terabytes available across a few arrays. Sucks it doesn’t manage itself for this.
