I have been troubleshooting the abnormal end of watching live tv. The stream periodically ends (shows buffering circle) without warning and with no apparent pattern, but it always does end abnormally.
We are simply watching OTA TV via the Plex Server connected via ethernet to a FireTV Cube where the Plex app is installed, connected to our primary television.
Initially, errors in the log file pointed the cause of the abend to running out of room on the 4 Gb ram-drive I had set up for transcoding. As a result transcoding was moved to a hard drive and the space related errors went away.
Unfortunately, the bad behaviour continued.
XML Errors in the logs were found to be a result to FireTV devices that required an update. (All devices are now running the latest FireTV OS and Plex app.
The Plex server is also on the latest public release.
I have attached the server log files and the plexapp log files in the hope that someone has better luck than I finding something in there that points to a cure!
