I set up plex with a 500gb external HD originally with music etc on, I got that finally linked up, I wiped a 1tb HD and installed my media on to that and plugged in to nvidia Shield, but it will no longer find server.
What do I need to do to correct this please?
Gone back to old hard drive in the meantime,
Tried several times no joy with 1tb hd yet.

Have you tried reaching your Shield with its own IP or only via app.plex.tv?
Have you tried restarting the server on the Shield (stopping/starting)? All updates installed? Shield rebooted?

The IP you get either by looking at the network settings of the Shield or through your router.

Trying to use 1tb hd again, as soon i change over, the server wont come on.
Any help appreciated.
Make sure when you swap drives that the drive letter is the exact same or you will have to add a new folder/scan…etc.

Really, is that why? Also hard drive names, does it matter if they are different too?
