I’m looking at buying a new gpu. I am looking at the 5700xt the 2060 Super or the 2070 Super.
Im looking to see which one would be best for 4k videos. Im not looking to spend more then 500 dollars on a gpu though.
Not to cross-link a thread, but : "New Plex" on Windows has issues with hardware decoding 10bit HEVC That was close to 3 weeks ago. if 4k 10 bit isn’t a concern, you’ll be fine. I don’t know if a 5700 or 5700 XT can Transcode more than 2 streams though. The edit: The Nvidia card can only support 2 hardware encoded streams without some major work, that really isn’t worth the trouble.
