Another +1 - Replacing my old server with a Pi4 instead of blowing another $500 on a desktop machine. Currently rigging up some bizarre remote access setup with Jellyfin that’ll probably get me hacked just so I can watch out of the house.

It appears that FFmpeg 4.3 includes fixes that mean h264_v4l2m2m encoder works well “out the box” for RPi 4 hw encoding. This should mean that if/when PMS team merge 4.3+ in, all that should be needed is Hardware: BCM2711 ? enable HW accelerated transcoding using h264_v4l2m2m encoder 
I would like to see this feature as well.
