Hardware Transcoding issues

I am having horrible issues getting HW transcoding to actually work. No matter what 4k File I do it buffers constantly, I recently installed a Quadro P2000 to remedy this issue but it still seems to not help at all. It is my only installed video card.

I have HW Transcoding turned on but it doesn’t seem to be actually using my GPU

I have attached my logs in the hopes that someone can help me figure out where I am going wrong or what I need to change to fix this.

Based on my research my CPU and my Card should easily be able to handle the load nothing else is running on my server and I do NOT have plex running as a service.

Thanks for any help you can provide

Thanks for the Tip.

Updated
rebooted
tried again, same results. I attached more logs. Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing? I manages to play 1.5 mins with a lot of buffering than it says server cannot support transcode on my roku, I know it is powerful enough I have read of many people with the exact same set up that have 20 streamers at once I cant even manage one on my own network currently.

I am new to plex so just trying to make sure I didnt do something messed up somewhere.

Thanks for any more tips

MIBI picked up the NVDEC/NVENC but the audio had to be transcoded. For a test, turn off subtitles and choose DD (usually the 2nd audio track) .

20 Transcodes would be on 1080p material plus need many cores.

The Audio is English (AC3 5.1) by default the only other choice is English (TRUEHD 7.1)
Subtitles are always set to none.

The CPU only hits 40% never goes over so why would buffering occur if it still has power to transcode the Audio.

So after verifying those settings I get the same results.

Hopefully a Plex person happens by, I’m not seeing indications of buffering. I want to compare to my logs at home but it will be a while.

Interesting, I have a new roku on the way too that I am going to try see if that make a difference at all. It buffers than says the server is not powerful enough to transcode this file enough though it most definitely is. Thanks for the help I really appreciate it!

Back to being stumped.

Once you start playback, try different quality settings to see if it is a bandwidth or processing bottleneck.
