Signed up for Tidal with Plex just to use it with plexamp. Seems like 1 of every 5 tracks I listen to looks to be analyzed for the smart features like sweet fades and volume normalization. It’s a mess compared to my personal music library. I am using Tidal Hi-Fi but will cancel after this month if I can’t get it to work. Thanks.
A lot of tracks have data, but we have to do it on demand given the gazillion (technical term) of tracks in the catalog. So generally the first time through it might not have the data, but the next time playing it should (after X minutes or whatever for analysis). Over time of course we’ll have a higher and higher % of the catalog analyzed.
Thanks for responding @elan however this is going to be a big problem. I premaily want use tidal for new music and it seems it’s just not quick enough crowdsourcing the analyzation. Is there a seperate an analyzation for compressed music and Hi-Fi as well? Why not allow us to manually trigger analyzation for a playlist?
We only need a single analysis for all versions.
If you just play the playlist, it should trigger analysis for all the albums in it.
That’s actually good. Even a playlist I create?
Yeah, that’s the “crowdsourcing” part
Well @elan it doesn’t seem to be working that way for me. Playing the same playlist a few hours apart makes no difference.
It’s possible the analysis pipeline is backed up a bit I’ll raise an internal issue to make sure we things are getting processed as expected.
