Sonic Analysis of Tidal Music Added to Library

I agree that Plex shouldn’t sonically analyze the entire Tidal library, but the music that I add to my library to play in Plex or Plexamp. This would allow the music from Tidal to be used with mixes and DJ feature more frequently. I use Tidal to supplement my library and add variety, but not having access to the Sonic Analysis features kinda defeats the purpose of added music or using Tidal with Plexamp at all.

It’s already happening.

Once a Plex user has listened once to a particular album, it gets sonically analysed.
Ate least a few hours later the results of the analysis can be used by e.g. the DJ Doppelgänger.

Music files I add to the library get analyzed, but my understanding is that songs from Tidal that I add do not get the Sonic Analysis treatment.

That is old information.
Otherwise, DJ Doppelgänger wouldn’t work.

Well, that is cool! Is that the only DJ option that uses Tidal tracks? Tidal tracks don’t get integrated in the same way my local tracks do. Tidal albums don’t even get a list of “Sonically Similar Albums” like my local ones do. Nor are they added to my mixes. And Tidal tracks and albums don’t get listed as “Sonically Similar” for any of my local music. I guess my request is to have Tidal tracks work the same in Plexamp as my local music, minus the download feature.

This usage is just the first step, I think.
There will be no doubt further development to utilize the results of the sonic analysis of Tidal content.

I already get Sonic Recomendations based not only on the sonic analysis of shared plex servers, but also on Tidal content.
Album “Stupid Dream” by Porcupine Tree gets this for instance:

Whether you will ever see all the Plex features on Tidal content that you see on local music, remains unclear. There might be technical, but also contractual barriers.
