I am running on windows 10, system has been rock solid for almost a year… now out of no where I have random crashes. I noticed one day when I tried to stream a specific movie from work (transcoded) it killed the server, had to remote in and reboot. Tried the movie again… same thing. play the movie from home (direct stream), no issue. Had the server crash when playing another specific movie from home as well. I highly doubt it has anything to do with it… but I just recently changed the movie Library Agent to help with matching movies. but I honestly have no idea what is causing this issue. I downloaded logs as soon as I rebooted, not sure what is helpful though. I have the logs before reboot and after. assuming you would need the ones before reboot, so will upload those first.
please let me know if I should upload a specific file pre / post reboot.

well… I have been playing 2 of the (known) movies to make the server go down at some point over more than one occasion… and so far they are playing with no issues. I do however have a log zip from after one of the crashes. I myself was not streaming, so not sure what was being played at that time. Not sure if it will help any. also couple snips of things I found odd. I honestly dont know what is “normal” when plex is running.
Setup: Intel 8700k, using iGPU for transcode ( no dedicated GPU on the system) 16GB ram, SSD for transcode directory, another SSD for metadata
If you see a questionable movie… let me know and I will put up the XML info.
well… it just crashed again… I am at work… so I do not know what movie(s) were streaming at the moment. I will say this. one thing I have noticed is that the movie artwork starts to blank out before its about to lock up. may start with one here and there… then its MANY. I added the log right after it came back up. I do there is a bunch of errors with the transcoder right before PLEX became unresponsive. I just have no idea what it means. I’m having this exact same issue where certain media, played on certain players cause the crashes and I don’t see any logs being made where they should be showing up. Managed to follow the instructions to get a zip of the logs, think I should make my own thread FordGuy or should I just add them here?
