Has PlexMediaServer-1.40.2.8273 broken plexdash and play history?

Any update on when they are going to be able to fix this annoying bug or how can I revert back to a working version?

seems to be fixed in plex dash beta, but I have no idea what time frame that it will be released

How does one get the beta?

Thanks @TeknoJunky for the update.

I believe there is no public beta for dash, we just need to wait until the plex team finish their testing.

The issue is in the server beta, as others have said already. There’s a workaround in the (internal) Dash beta, but the actual fix will be released in an upcoming server update.

I don’t have a timeframe for that sorry, but “soon”

:ok_hand:t2: ok

Plexdash is working again after upgrading to beta server 1.40.2.8351. Thanks.

Same here. All back to normal.
Cheers

I’m removing the solution for this thread as with plexdash v2.1.0 & server v1.40.2.8351 plexdash has become broken again :frowning:

This time its at the show level. Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go into plexdash, select now playing and filter history on television.
  2. The history will display, now select any item on the list and you will be presented with a “Nothing to see here” message.

This was working with server v1.40.2.8351 and v2.0.4. However, with v2.1.0 its broken. I guess whatever filtering you adjusted on plexdash is not working well for tv series.

Interestingly, music and movies don’t show this issue.

My device is a Samsung S21 5G in case that is of any importance.

Same behavior has returned on iPhone and iPad with the update to 2.1.0 running servers 1.40.2.8351

This thread is about Plex Media Server versions 1.40.2.8273 and 1.40.2.8312 causing Plex Dash to fail to load any item history. It was fixed in Plex Media Server 1.40.2.8351.

The problem you’re describing isn’t related to the above issue. As far as I can tell the item details pages are working everywhere except in a few specific cases (TV items, but only when opened from either History or Now Playing. Search, Charts etc work just fine).

The cause is related to the rewrite/redesign of the details screens. I’ll have a fix in the next Dash release.

I’ll mark this thread as solved again as the issue is unrelated. Please open a new thread if you’d like to discuss further.

Edit: the fix is out now.

Confirmed fixed, thanks.
