Has the PLEX App been discontinued for SHARP TVs?

As of the last two days when opening the plex app on my SHARP TV I am getting the message Plex is not reachable.

I just can’t find anything on the main site confirming this.

We never had any specific official support for Sharp TVs. I can only guess that brand used what was the app available on the Smart TV Alliance. I’m guessing it was running the old version of the app 3.1.x that stopped development long ago.

We recently disabled some old security protocols on how the app loads that likely is the cause of it’s no longer working on older models that don’t support TLS 1.2. Plex support is ending 2020-09-30 on older smart TV devices

BigWheel… all these troubles are generated by your idea to bridge client and server with plex.tv in the middle…
But i think is less problematic let client and server dialog directly, with plex tv in bground.
So client can link to server without protocols problems and we are free to keep old device linked.
