Have a library I have been using with XMBC agent for ages... Want to switch to Plex Agent -

Server Version#:Latest Beta
Player Version#: Latest

How do I copy the play history from one library to another in the same server?

It’s not possible when migrating from a 3rd-party agent.

Only the old Legacy Plex Movie and TMDB agents are supported for that kind of conversion.

Is there ay way to back it up, and restre to the new libaray at the sqlite level?

Theoretically everything is possible, if you’ve the knowledge. Unfortunately that’s not true for me.

Heh… I figured it out… kind of a kudge…

Created a group with a folder for watched movies.
Selected all (welp, 400 at a time as aparently a plex limit). Added to Group “Done”
Using export tools, dumped list of movies
Using a PMM script, create a group in the new libarary with all of the movie names
Select all moives in group. Mark as watched

I do have another question…

Old library is “All Movies”
New library is “All Movies - New”

  1. I am using Plex Home
  2. Ultimatly I want to end up with 1 library.
  3. Users will be granted to both for a time.
  4. If I delete “All Movies” and rename “All Movies - New” to “All Movies”, will that cascade to the users? or will I have to re-grant access?

The latter. All shared elements are actually internally identified by number and not by name. The number doesn’t change if you rename.
