Hi,
I have 2 Plex servers, one running on a Synology DS918+ which is my primary, the 2nd on a ReadyNAS Pro 6.
Both are running version 1.13.2.5102 of the media server.
I have noticed on my DS918+ server that the audio tracks are being misidentified. At first I thought it was the new handbrake 1.10 at fault and back revved it and re-encoded, same results. Then when I had checked my 2nd server the ReadyNAS Pro 6, it shows the audio tracks properly.
For example I have movies with DTS 5.1 that are passed through from the original MKV and I create a 2nd audio track encoded with AAC stereo for the devices that can’t deal with the DTS. Movies with DTS 5.1 now show as DTS Stereo instead of 5.1 on the DS918+ server. With a earlier version of the media server it did show correctly before, I am just not sure at what version this change has taken place.
I was thinking the install on the DS918+ was somehow corrupted until my brother told me his is doing the exact same thing with his files.
This is what the DS918+ sees the track as:
Codec DCA
Channels Stereo
Bitrate 1509 kbps
Language English
Profile dts
Sampling Rate 48000 Hz
Stream Identifier 2
Display Title English (DTS Stereo)
Codec AAC
Channels Stereo
Bitrate 174 kbps
Language English
Profile lc
Sampling Rate 48000 Hz
Stream Identifier 3
Display Title English (AAC Stereo)
But the ReadyNAS Pro 6 sees it as:
Codec DCA
Channels 5.1
Bitrate 1536 kbps
Language English
Audio Channel Layout 5.1(side)
Profile dts
Sampling Rate 48000 Hz
Stream Identifier 2
Display Title English (DTS 5.1(side))
Codec AAC
Channels Stereo
Bitrate 147 kbps
Language English
Audio Channel Layout stereo
Profile lc
Sampling Rate 48000 Hz
Stream Identifier 3
Display Title English (AAC Stereo)
This is with the exact same movie file. How can I go about trying to solve this?
Thanks in advance everyone,
-D
