I tried to share some music today in plexamp and all I got was sent to the listen.plex.tv for said linked music.
I have plexamp installed on my phone and it had never been a problem before.
What is wrong?

The listen.plex.tv links are supposed to deeplink into the shared item in Plexamp, as long as Plexamp is installed and the item is available to you. At the moment, this is only supported on Android and iOS.
Could you provide a little bit more info about what happened?
Plexamp is installed on my Android phone, and I have access to the music.
Nothing special happened, just noticed now that it didn’t work. I haven’t changed anything. Same phone, same version, same everything.
The person I got the link from sees my link when I send one back, as they open properly in plexamp, but I can’t access his in my own plexamp, I just get the listen.plex.tv link.
In your phone’s settings (depending on the manufacturer and Android version), there should be a page like the below:
On my device, it’s under Settings > Apps > Plexamp > Open by Default.
Do you see “1 verified link” on that page?
Yes my settings looks like that. It has worked before this. I have opened many links before today.
Apologies, I just wanted to make sure an update or something hadn’t reset that configuration.
I’m not sure what could be wrong otherwise. Any chance you could share the link with me to test? DM is fine if you’d prefer.
I sent a DM to you
Hmm, it opened fine on my device, though I haven’t got access to the item
It could be an issue with the app that the link was opened from. What messaging app was it sent through?
I’ve tried both Telegram and Discord. But shouldn’t the link work either way?
Actually just tried telegram as I said it, and telegram works. I can open through it. But not through discord.
I just tested Discord as well and can confirm it’s not working there.
I tested a couple of links into other apps (BlueSky, Slack) and found the same results, so at this point I’m pretty confident this is a bug in Discord’s app, and unfortunately not something we’re able to do much about on Plexamp’s side sorry.
Okay. Thanks for the help anyhow!
