HDHomeRun Premium TV Guide

Since it doesn’t seem there will be capabilities for multiple program guide data sources, is it possible to have the HDHomeRun Premium TV channels added to to all of the OTA program guide listings?

All? Probably not. Most? Probably. (I have)

Alternatively you can monkey around with creating your own xmltv file and Plex can use that.

I’m running on WD MyCloud NAS’. Currently I have 2, one for OTA, the other for HDHR Premium, but they dont “talk” to each other, causing some shows to be recorded twice, and having to switch between NAS’ to watch live or recorded shows, two separate guides, etc.

I figured I would be asking for too much if I requested load sharing between devices, or the ability to create a Plex server farm all sharing a central storage for libraries and/or a single database.

It’s getting confusing for people in my household having 2 separate Plex’s. The only thing keeping me from jumping to Emby or the HDHR DVR is the commercial skip in Plex. Once Emby or HDHR have that feature, I’ll likely ditch Plex and move on if they haven’t enabled multiple EPG’s or some other solution to mixing HDHR Premium with OTA on a single box.

Yeah, it’s not very easy to make an xmltv file and the easiest way is to subscribe to yet another service.

Where I live, I get most of the channels from a second market. I fiddled around with a ton of zip codes in between the two markets until I found one with most of the channels. I’m missing a couple local independent type channels, but I have all the ones I need, I guess.

If Plex isn’t going to add multiple EPG sources, if they could give us a utility to make a custom xmltv file with the EPG source information they have. I’d love to have all the channels from both markets along with the SD premium. Then I also wouldn’t to pay for the annual SD DVR subscription just to record shows off the premium channels.
