HDR not triggering

May i ask on what version is your Plex app in your Shield 2019 pro? And since i can’t think of anything else what settings do you use in Plex? Old or new Player?

I’m on 7.31.0.1665
I have refresh and resolution switching ON.
Other than that I think I’m at default settings other than Remote streaming which I have at maximum as my server is remote.
I have been on the new player since the earliest beta release.

The only combination I haven’t tried yet is switching both refresh rate and resolution to ON with New Player enabled. Ehh. Will wait for @DaveBinM to help furthermore troubleshoot this problem i’m into. Appreciated for additional info of your setup.

@DaveBinM Would it narrow it down more if i plugged the USB drive onto my Tv Box instead of my Tv to check if it’s the boxes’ issue that can’t trigger HDR10+ ?
*Played it from USB plugged in the Tv Box with no luck. Washed out Colors. Like i said on LG TV Plex App plays fine + USB Plugged in TV plays fine also and enables HDR.
Box manufacturer clearly says that is HDR10+ certified with other HDR formats alongside.

Beelink support asked me to send them HDR10+ SMPTE 2094 files to take a look into it.

So I’ve tried out that sample on both my Shield and Sony Android TV, with 7.31, and our upcoming v8.0 beta, and both versions on both devices resulted in HDR on my TV. Sounds like it might be related to the hardware you’re using :thinking:
