HDR-SDR Tonemapping not working Rocket Lake Server version 1.25.0.5246

Updated to the new Plex server version and Hardware transcoding for SDR files is working correctly. Bu I am unable to play any HDR content with HDR - SDR tonemapping enabled.

It is my understanding that with hardware transcoding, if the GPU cannot perform the tonemapping then it should fallback to software. However in my case the file just fails to play at all. It will sit with the spinnign circle for hours if I let it.

However, going into the settings and disabling the tonemapping and the files play without issue. Just not with the tonemapping.

My plex server is running in Docker in Unraid 6.10-rc2. The logs show errors like this when trying to play HDR content:

thank you for the logs but they’re useless.

You disabled DEBUG logging.

You don’t save space by turning it off because logs are fixed at 10 MB each.

Please enable DEBUG logging. Do not enable VERBOSE. SAVE the changes.

There is a known bug (fixed today) with VC-1 decoding.

I tried to play three different HDR films. Two were 4k and one was 1080p.

I also tried turning off the automatically adjust quality setting on the web player.

Please enable DEBUG logging again. Click SAVE after enabling.

I can see nothing.

It definitely was saved.

I’ve deleted the old logs and restarted the container. Checked and there are definitely DEBUG lines in the logs now.
