HE-AAC 5.1 not playing on Roku now

Suddenly the audio on a few TV episodes I have with HE-AAC 5.1 sound is no longer playing correctly. I’ll occasionally get some background sound (closing doors, etc.) on one of the speakers but nothing else. This was working fine a couple weeks ago but I’m not sure exactly when I updated this server version. It’s a MAC Pro server that’s transcoding everything and other audio options seem to work fine on other movies. Any thoughts or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
