Hello All. New Plex User Here. Question About Local Folder/Drive In My PC For Plex...

I am a new Plex User. I just purchased a lifetime pass and all is good. But I am little frustrated. I know how to use Plex Cloud when accessing/using DropBox, Google Drive or OneDrive. Easy.

But for the life of me, I can’t find a way to have Plex to access to my Local Folder or Local Drive to sync with Plex on its cloud service. As I mentioned above - I am new to Plex. For example, let’s say I have a local Downloads folder on my C Drive and I want Plex to scan and sync with Downloads Folder. Nothing worked. No way to show the list of that in Plex when creating new Folders for Videos or Movies In Plex Library. How??? Can anyone please help me out with this matter? Thank you very much kindly. Have a great week and happy viewing!

Plex Cloud doesn’t sync with local folders on your computer. You need to upload your files to DropBox, Google Drive or OneDrive and put them in the folders there that PLex Cloud can see. Most cloud services have ways to put a folder from there on your desktop you can drop your video files to copy it up to those cloud services.

If you want l files on your computer locally through Plex, you need to install the Plex Media Server on your computer. Which you can set up to access remotely
