I am running PlexConnect and PSM on my Synology NAS Drive. I can access PSM thru my web browser on my mac but can't get PlexConnect to work on my AppleTV. When trying to add profile http://trailers.apple.com/trailers.cer I get error message unable to add profile error 109.
I followed this guide including adding custom certificates to PlexConnect as explained in the advance part.
Please help and let me know I need to post any additional info.
I have better luck and find it easier to type in the "plexconnectip/trailers.cer" without the quotes into my aTV's for example I type this URL into all my aTV's since it's my local PlexConnect host IP address (no http prefix required):
192.168.1.101/trailers.cer
If that doesn't work edit your settings.cfg file and change it to:
loglevel = High
Then restart plexconnect try the cert upload again then stop plexconnect then upload a .zip of your plexconnect.log or link a URL of it to this topic.
Reboot your aTV also then try to load your synoip/trailers.cer for example if your syno ip was 192.168.1.101 the enter this into your aTV:
192.168.1.101/trailers.cer <-------Change the IP to your sync box followed by the /trailers.cer part
to add the profile (cert)

I encountered same problem as you did when adding a profile. So what you should do is instead of http://trailers.apple.com/trailers.cer type in your ip add that you add in your dns at ATV, same ip add and then trailer.cer, it would look like 10.0.1.1/trailers.cer only that 10.0.1.1 would be replaced by your ip add serving plex or the ip you enter in your dns at ATV

I was finally able to edit my settings.cfg files and changed loglevel = High as recommended by walman.j but still same error message when adding profile to atv3

Click my username and send me a message. Looks like your settings.cfg may not be correct but hopefully I can debug it for you.
Did any one have a fix for this, was using version 0.3 fine but upgraded to version 0.5 and same issue. Tried upgrade and re-install. Any help greatly appreciated. followed the install guide/troubleshooting as per https://forums.plex.tv/topic/72356-plexconnect-on-synology/

Ever since I made my lasy update of plexconnect on my synology nas this stopped working. To which I deleted the profile on ATV in hope that after recreated it would come back to normal. …
But no. From thereon I was never able to add the trailers.cer profile on my ATV. And yes, I’ve tried my NAS fixed IP instead of http://trailers.apple.com…

Somehow the .cer files are not installed. Enter the URL http://your_ip/trailers.cer or marketwatch.cer and you find a file not found message. Not sure where the script went wrong. Do you have Python install ?
Simple solution to this, check the PlexConnect log file to see the port it’s serving http on. Mine was 81 so on the Apple TV enter http://yourIP:81/trailers.cer
