HELP! In Plexamp I Switched to Tidal from Plex Media Server and Cannot Change Back

Server Version#: 10.8.5554
Player Version#: 4.11.0

So I switched over to Tidal in PlexAmp for Android because I didn’t have a song that I wanted to listen to, but now I don’t have any way to switch the source back to the Plex Media Server. Also when I log into the Android Plex app, I don’t see my music collection listed-- only Tidal. Any idea of how to fix?

Are you sure you are using the main user account of your server in Plexamp?

Do you still have a “music”-type library on your server? Because Plexamp will only show these.

Is there a reason why you are still on that old server software version?

Ok, somehow Plex crashed after I switched to Tidal so when I tried to switch back it couldn’t. Weird timing. So that’s fixed! I feel silly that I didn’t check this but, then again, I’ve never had an issue with Plex crashing before…

Regarding the old version, I stopped updating it regularly because, every time I did, I would need to factory reset Plex and re-establish all my shared drives. However, as you pointed out it was quite old so I took the risk and updated it. This time, I didn’t need to reset it! They must have fixed this issue since the last time I updated it.

Thanks for your help and encouragement to upgrade.

In case you didn’t know it already, you might want to peruse Qnap faq.....read me first!

I’m sure I did read it back in the day when I was having problems upgrading. But good to be reminded of it, thanks!
