Dance completed. no sign of Posters still.

Dance completed
Did you see the movie you danced disappear in plex?
yup and had to empty trash to remove it. then cleaned bundles. then exited Plex [closed it down out of systray] and then re-added movie back in, then re-loaded Plex then scan library where it then re-appeared as above. all the details, cast etc. no poster.
I forgot: what is the red bar on top of the drive icon symbolizing?
Is this a DriveLocker drive or actually a ‘combined’ drive?
its HDD Sentinel telling me that space is getting low.
How much free space left? It is not a good idea to fill up the drive with the plex data on it. It is a recipe for a damaged database. i.e. that’s what you just had before.
replacement SSD arrived this morning.
all i’m trying to achieve at the moment is to get posters to reappear. plus the previous PMS took up less than 200GB and the above shows 376GB free. so space isn’t an issue.
if that is successful, then when i go to rebuild this evening, all posters will sorted.
how do i get posters back?
Question: what does it say about access permissions in all those subfolders?
If this drive was ported over from a different Windows install, then it might be possible, that your current Windows user account doesn’t have ‘full access’ permissions to all files and all subfolders.
Shut down Plex. Installed SSD
Moved Plex Media Server folder to new SSD. But left behind cache/metadata/media.
Edited registry to point at new directory.
Loaded it up.
All appears. And now adds poster images.
Now clicking “refresh all metadata” mwahahahaha.
Refresh all metadata ain’t doing sheet!
I’m having to do one by one by hand.
Any pointers?
Just let it sit overnight and let a server maintenance run through.
I will see you in the morning Otto!
Annnnnnd it’s all back on.
Wonderful.
SSDs FTW.
Thanks for the help @OttoKerner for the backup files guide.
