My laptop crashed and I had to do a full system reset. I have since purchased a program to salvage all my files. I have located the Plex Folder under user>local etc. However, I have no idea how to use this information to revive my Plex Server. I really do not want to reload 2000+ movies, not to mention, recreate all my collections and posters. I am hoping someone has a simple solution that I am too naïve to understand. Thank you in advance for your help!
If you were able to recover to the Plex Media Folder, copy it over to a new PMS setup and things should just return as they were.
When I recovered the files lost when my laptop froze, I saved them to an external hard drive. I had created a new Plex server prior to realizing there were additional steps needed. I since have deleted the new server file and dragged the recovered Plex file to my C drive, but when I log into Plex it still shows only the new server I created. It shows that the server is unavailable, but does not show any sign of my original server.
I apologize if this is way off base, but I am not very savvy when it comes to these things. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Sorry I have been slow to respond to this. I have basically given up on trying to recover my old file. I have re-wiped my laptop and am starting from scratch.
I just tried to create a new server and it seemed to load fine. I created a movie library and added one movie. I also created a tv show library and added one show.
Once it said I was all set, I tried to load my personal libraries and it said there was a problem loading and sent me back to the forums.
I have loved PLEX until these recent events have been happening and am a lifetime PLEX Pass user. I am very frustrated with all of this and am really hoping to get an easy fix, so I can start the long process of re-adding my whole digital library to my PLEX account.
Please help me get this back to a starting point so that I can actually start to use this program again.

Can you provide more details on this? What do you mean by personal library? Earlier you said you made 1 movie library and 1 tv show library. What is this library and when/how did you create it?
