Hi, i have a Mac Studio with Sequoia 15.1.1. Plex media server Version 4.141.0 is on this Mac Studio. I Have the Pass Plex and i cannot use it since many years.
My librairy, Movies, TV series etc…are on an external Hard disc formated in APFS connected to this same MAc Studio.
I’be been trying since many years to allow plex to see and read my library but it never works. How to do it?? Seems very complicated…
The first thing to check would be to look at macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security → Files & Folders and ensure Plex Media Server has access enabled for Removable Volumes.
If it’s present, but not enabled, enable it. If it’s not present as an option, edit the appropriate library in Plex and attempt to add a folder from an external disk. It should prompt you on your Mac to allow access to removable volumes (allow it).
