First sorry if this is posted in the wrong section since this is more of a Network equipment issue but since I run Plex on my QNAP thought I would post here.
Looking for some help or ideas. I have AT&T Gigapower with their PACE5268AC Gateway. I have DMZplus setup on it connected to my Unifi Security Gateway/Router which is what my QNAP TVS-882 is plugged into and for years I have had no issues connecting to the Plex server remotely. Recently it appears AT&T updated the PACE 5268AC to firmware 10.7.0.5330220-att which seems to have broken Plex’s ability to connect.
Plex says “Not Available outside your network” yet devices can still connect I just get an error message “You are not connected directly to this server so streaming quality may be limited. You may be able to connect directly by changing your home network settings” … I can still stream but the message shows up every time i want to connect remotely.
I have tested this by connecting the NAS directly to the PACE 5268AC and the remote connection works fine with no errors. Is there anything I can do within Plex to fix this? I know it was a change in the AT&T equipment but the chance of them doing something is like zero.
