Help restoring a deleted library

I was excited to find this: https://support.plex.tv/articles/202485658-restore-a-database-backed-up-via-scheduled-tasks/

But, I’m presently having some trouble trying this as I don’t have matching db and blobs.db files. Everything has a different date from each other and I’m not sure what to do https://i.imgur.com/O5DHfej.png

That doesn’t look right. The dates should be the same. You can try taking the 2 with the closest dates and see if that will work.

Your main database backup files look quite old. Using one of these is going back pretty far. You could recreate the library too.

That was my confusion too. I’ve always had back up on, but the only main database files I have are from a year ago. I have no idea how that happened.

This usually happens if you put an invalid or inaccessible path into
Settings - Server - Scheduled Tasks - ‘Show Advanced’ - “Backup directory”

Everything was left to the defaults, I hadn’t changed anything though

The server must actually be running during the time period when the Scheduled Tasks are, erm, scheduled.

I typically have it running 24/7 with occasional breaks for updates. And by updates, I mean server software updates.

Since it’s backing up the bob database, I don’t think it’s an issue with the backup schedule. It might be that your database has been damaged for quite some time and PMS wasn’t able to make a backup.

sigh that stinks. I guess I’m stuck and have to rebuild then. Thanks for everyone’s help

Since my database appears to be damaged, how do I go about repairing it? I’ve been keeping the scheduled tasks of cleaning and optimizing still running nightly, but I feel like there’s something more that I have to do, so I wanted to check to see if anyone had suggestions.

Thanks
