I have plex installed on a vps ubuntu server Ubuntu Linux 18.04.2
I added the plex repository to linux, so I can do the updating automatically.
However, I get an error and I can not solve the problem. I get the following error:

Go ahead and remove that. How it got there is unknown but it doesn’t belong.

It does say “ignoring”, N = Notification.

It is telling you ‘plexmediaserver.list.save.1’ is something it sees but is invalid.
It’s of no consequence because it is ignored ( N: Ignoring file)

It’s giving you a Notification that the invalid file is being ignored.

If that bothers you, delete it. It’s purely informational

OK. got it. but even so my plex does not update to its latest version. how can I do it without losing my information?

I need to see some more of what’s happening.

I wasn’t away you actually had a problem with obtaining updates.

Can you tell me which version you currently have installed?
