Hi all! I’m on the latest version of both server and app on iOS (iphone 16 pro) and it usually works well. I decided to try HEVC transcoding as I have an nvidia gpu and it works tremendously well. But whilst testing it I found a weird issue.
For example, if I have the quality set to Auto on Plex app on iOS it will play the below 4K HDR content as SDR. If I manually choose the quality, for example 1080p 10Mbps it will use HEVC and playback in HDR.
So, on Auto it’s using H264, if I manually select a specific target res/bitrate then it uses HEVC…
I’ve attached an example below. Any idea why this happens??
