HEVC transcoding just hangs; H.264 works fine

Server Version#: 1.41.3.9314
Player Version#: iOS 8.45
nVidia Driver: 570.86.16

I have a Quadro P400 that works great for H.264 hardware accelerated transcoding. I enabled the new HEVC transcoding option today but can’t get video to transcode with it enabled.

Running the official Docker container on Unraid 7.0.

My Docker Compose file has the following options specified:

    environment:
      - NVIDIA_VISIBLE_DEVICES=GPU-20f21e7e-b90b-4711-7681-8b6213760f71
      - NVIDIA_DRIVER_CAPABILITIES=all
    devices:
      - /dev/dri:/dev/dri
    runtime: nvidia

When trying this on my iPad, I can see the server GPU utilization ramp up, and I can see the transcoding happening on the Plex Web dashboard. I also see a consistent stream of outbound network traffic (strangely, though, 30-40 Mbps when I should only be transcoding to 6-8 in my test). However, the player client just sits and spins forever, never playing any content. I don’t receive any error messages.

Here’s a snapshot of GPU utilization when trying to transcode to HEVC; I seem to have plenty of headroom.

Any thoughts?
