Hi .can plex be used at same time on more then one device ?

I live in one city while my brother lives in another city .is it possible to use same plex account to login and watch content at same time on lets say different tv present at different location ?

Yes it shouldn’t effect it, but he should make his own Plex account and you can share your library with him.

Will he need premium plex for it or I can just share the folder with him ?

No, he does not have to have a Plex pass, but he needs his own personal (free) Plex account - https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/204226753-Friends

If you trust him, and since you have a Plex pass, you could potentially create a Plex Home and include your brother in it. Thus he would inherit your Plex pass benefits such as free apps and such. Though, remember that there is only a 4 pin digit code that separates you from him. There are other factors to take into account as well so read carefully over here if you are interested in creating a Plex Home - https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/sections/200641063-Plex-Home

No, he won’t need a Plex Pass unless he doesn’t want to buy the mobile apps. (And those are only $5 a shot, so not really smart to pay for a Pass just for mobile apps on a couple of devices…)

And you don’t share a “folder”. You share a library. Your brother would have access to everything in that library unless you further set up sharing restrictions.

You make custom tags for the media in the “sharing” section of the media’s details page, then add those tags to your brother’s account page in the “Restrictions” part. Only include the things you WANT him to see, not the things you DON’T want him to see. These “restrictions” aren’t a blacklist, but a whitelist. Everything in it gets shared. (It’s mis-named, IMO…)
