Hide adult content from your server?

Hey,

I just had a general question, if I want to use Plex when I have company over (say family) to show family videos, etc…how do I hide all the porn in my library from showing up on the main app window with my Apple TV (I forget what it’s called, what the grid or wall lol?)

Then you have “recently added” & “continue watching” that shows more than people need to see, why is there no way to turn this crap off for discretion reasons? I won’t be opening this thing up anytime soon when I have family over, that’s for sure. Yes I have A LOT of adult content running from my server. >:)

You have a few options for content control…

under each library when you edit it you can select this box under advanced settings:

This will stop any content from that specific library from showing up in the front screen.

You can also setup a managed user under plex home if you get a paid for plex pass and for this user do not allow access to libraries that you do not want others to see and when people are over use that profile instead of your main profile and all this content will not be reachable in anyway (even if someone else is clicking around with the remote)

Ah yea, I forgot about that. Thanks for the tip!

Hey,

I removed the check that you showed me above but it still shows on my TV lol (even with the web app.)

Any idea?

Apparently you have to restart the server to see the change. Reload/refresh (I forgot what it’s named in the app) didn’t do it.
