Hide on Startup

Is there an option to directly hide openpht when started? Openpht is Running on a mac.

No, there isn’t. The assumption is that a Plex client is started in order to use it.
Why would you want to hide it ?

If it’s just so you can run other programs on the system, you could just switch the display mode to ‘Windowed’ and then minimize the window to just an icon on the taskbar. This way it will be out of your way for using other programs, but still ready to be used when you want to.

That setting is found as: Preferences > System > Advanced > Display Mode

On the other hand, if it’s just that you want the OpenPHT screensaver activated ASAP, that can be done simply by specifying a very short timeout in the OpenPHT screensaver preferences. And you might also want to change the screensaver mode from “Dim” to “Black”, to completely eliminate the risk of screen ‘burn-in’.

The timeout setting is found as: Preferences > Appearance > Screensaver > Screensaver time
But the minimum timeout value is 1 minute, so it won’t activate quicker than that.
The screensaver mode setting is also found in the same preference screen.

Dlanor thanks for your reply. The reason for my question is that I use the mac for more then only viewing plex. And most of the the time I just whan’t to use plex to play music on my mac remote controlled from my Phone. Therefore the I actually don’t require the interface. So there’s no background service to do so?
