I have several friend/family members that use my Plex server. therefore there is shows on there they request that I don’t like. In order to filter out the content i don’t want. i had to make myself a separate user and told it to only see items with a certain label. This has proven difficult to maintain as all new content doesn’t show up automatically. I have to remember to go in and include a show or movie and with 10TB of content I do miss stuff from time to time. Guess I was hoping there was some better suggestions of how to hide items you don’t want to see. Like show me all items except things with a certain label would be nice like !show label or something.
I’d like this too actually, but for content ratings. Right now, you can only white-list ratings/labels. I want to be able to blacklist.
It should be in the existing option structure: Settings>Users>Friends>your other account>Edit (the pen)>Restrictions. But, be able to enter labels/content ratings you’d like the user to NOT see.
For example: my little cousin. I want to share my content to him, but don’t want him to see anything rated R. Right now, I’d need to go through and allow ratings: G, PG, PG-13, etc.
I’m in the same boat. I have about 10 or 15 friends and family who use my plex server, and they have their favorite trash real housewives of god knows what, and I’d love it if I could permanently hide it for my account. As it is now, I just keep marking as watched, and every week it comes back once a new episode airs. It sucks!!
