Hiding video listing for a specific library on dashboard

I’m sure we all know what kind of folder this might allude to, so I will not go into that, but previously, I was able to have a folder show up in the library list, but not show any file names or video thumbnails etc. until it was actually selected. A few weeks ago, this ‘partly hidden’ library started showing up in all its glory and now I can’t for the life of me figure out how to set it back to just showing a black screen when scrolling past it again.

Anyone have a similar situation and perhaps a solution?

Edit your library
go to the ‘Advanced’ tab
at the top, set the drop-down selector to ‘Exclude from Home screen…’

That is indeed what I think used to work..

Now that I think about it, maybe it’s not my settings but the recent Plex Samsung TV App that’s being weird? It also added a ‘Recommended’ and ‘Watch Later’ library that both open an annoying popup to proclaim that “The requested item could not be found” when you try to scroll past them.

If you have activated the preview app, then please report any issues in the preview thread: New Samsung Tizen App Preview

Your post made me check the version of Plex that was on my TV, I saw that there was a newer one, installed that, uninstalled and reinstalled the media server from my PC, and somehow that worked together to fix everything.
Thanks!

It unfortunately didn’t remove the non-functional Recommended and Watch Later libraries, and added an empty Playlists library though…

Does this apply to the Samsung only?

The web player never had those folders, no.
I just noticed that in Settings > Preferences > Menu you can actually turn those libraries off within the TV App so it’s all good now!
