Home movies not showing poster in recently added

I have a load of home movies and to each one I have added a custom poster.
These show fine in the library view and look great as below

They also show in the recommended wich is good but they show up in 16:9 screenshots and not as a poster as below:

Is there any way to change this can’t seem to find a setting to do so.

Looks like you chose the Other Video library type when you created that, which is appropriate for home movies. There is a mismatch in the photo that is used in Plex Web for this library type. I believe it should always be landscape images (I’m checking). If you try editing the poster, you should see that it is using landscape images.

This is the same for the web and the desktop client.
As far as I can see the library always shows portrait hence the reason for adding the posters as they are.
Just wanted to be able to switch the recommended view to be the same.
I have tried a landscape view in the library but it cuts the sides off as it shows as portrait.

In past experience this works fine when you’re not using home movies. Thought it would be a simple switch as have spent all the time uploading custom posters.

Like I said. I believe this is wrong. I’m checking with the devs and if it is wrong, I will file an issue so they can fix it.
