Home Screen - How to Add Personal Libraries?

Hello, I recently setup a new HTPC and cannot seem to edit the Home Screen. I’ve tried restoring to default numerous times. All that will show is : 1) Podcats and 2) Webshows (Plex content). I’d prefer my own libraries (movies, etc). But, nothing shows up in the edit dialog. Here’s a screenshot:

I saw another user with this similar issue and the suggestion was to “add library to home” but they didn’t indicate how that’s done. I can’t seem to stumble over the correct area where that is toggled. Please, if someone could assist? TIA

I don’t see a “User” (may have gotten cropped) - quite important I think.
Are you signed in?

What appears at ‘Movies’, for instance.

hello, yes, sorry the screenshot clips/crops the user side of the screen. Was trying to keep the size down some.

I got cha…

A ‘New Server’ may need to be discovered along with the media and libraries before you can add something to the home page.

Do you show media in Movies and TV Shows?

hello, yes, each library properly shows its content. Here’s an example:

Yea…

When I first set up the “New Experience” - what I experienced was horror when mine did the same thing yours is doing.

Something I did - can’t tell you what - fixed it.
I wish I could offer more…

But… slide over into the library hit the dots… is there something there like ‘add to home’?

wild guess really.

Try this:

Select More
Ensure your server is the one highlighted at the top
move down through your libraries, pinning each one (click the dots)

I just remembered that was very annoying, but necessary, for some reason.

Then you can go into the server settings and turn off the stuff you don’t want to see in the sidebar… explore, you’ll find 'em.

you can’t add libraries to the home screen (libraries get ‘pinned’ to the left side).

what you can add to the home screen are HUBS

like recently added, recently aired, top movies, recently watched, and so on.

to add to the home screen, go to the library then ‘recommended’ section, then click the add to home button/link.

Yea, I just happened to be looking at the hosted app and remembered the sequence. I also remember thinking ‘why - when my server is the only one - must I do this’?

I also thought I can’t be the only one that doesn’t find this all that ‘intuitive’ and, look, here we are…

I bet I remember the next time someone asks…

I think that newer iterations of UNO automatically place the main hubs in the home screen (the reset to default should do that?).

Unfortunately, it is not readily apparent from the home screen, how to add hubs. Hubs must be added from the ‘recommended’ sections.

Once a hub is on the home page, you can ‘edit’ the home page and rearrange etc.

Settings - Web Client - General - ‘Show Advanced’ - “Reset Customization”
will invoke the setup wizard again and allows you to populate both the side bar and the home screen with items from a selectable preferred server.

This wizard had a bug, which prevented it from appearing for users which have only one server and disabled also all Online Media sources in their account.
Make sure you use the hosted web app when you invoke it, so you are running the latest code: app.plex.tv

hey there, the suggestion below by the moderator ultimately reset my Home and fixed my issues. However, what you’ve suggested was working until the reset. Thank you for pointing out the + in the recommended area. That is not something I’ve noticed before and did in fact add a section to Home prior to the reset procedure. Cheers!

Thanks! This worked great

glad to help.

if you can find hubs that are most useful to you, you can add them all to the home screen and rarely need to go into the libraries.
