I’ve tried selecting various items in various libraries to promote to the Home page, but nothing ever appears on the Home page:
Are those libraries pinned to the main navigation?
Yes, I’m only trying this in pinned libraries. To troubleshoot, I have tried unpinning/re-pinning, restarted the Plex Server, and run some of the Library tools, like Analyze and Scan Library Files. Haven’t tried ‘Refresh metadata’ yet - not quite ready for that, and I don’t really expect that to be related anyway.
By the way, adding/removing items from the ‘Library Recommended’ list works correctly, except for “Library Playlists.”
Does anything change on the Home page after you re-enable all those hubs on the library’s “Recommended” tab?
No, not if done from Settings > Libraries > Manage Recommendations. If I go to the actual library’s Recommendations tab and add a hub to Home from there, it works.
“Library Playlists” is an exception even for “Library Recommended.” This doesn’t work anywhere:

Maybe manage automatically or manually managed home pages will make the difference. I would try re-setting the home page, and setting it to “Automatic Manage” if it isn’t super inconvenient to have to re-configure your home page.
Yeah, I was hoping to avoid that, but maybe it’s time to try it.
Manually managed home pages are leaving us shortly anyways, they say, so you might be just postponing the inevitable.
Yeah, that’s not going to be a happy time. I actually thought I had switched over, but apparently not. I did the reset, and left it in ‘automatic,’ and it seems to be working.
I am disappointed that Manual is leaving, and I’m even more disappointed that, in the new system, “Library Playlists” only adds the ‘Recent Playlists’ hub, not the static list of Playlists that I’ve been asking for.
And I apparently have NO control over hubs from Online Media Sources. This just keeps getting worse. I feel another crusade coming on.
I agree about the difference between a recent playlist and a static playlist hub. Tthe apps that work with these options do the same thing. It doesn’t appear to be just a label/name thing, the playlists are listed beginning with the last used one.
Adding a Playlist hub from the library management controls should do what it says, not convert it to recent.
I think, in theory, you should be able to add most hubs from your library to the home page from the Manage library options. You do lose control of exactly where the show, it’s tied to the order of your pinned hubs.
I unpinned any online media sources. No hubs show on home page. You can also disable them in your account settings.
Yeah, got all that. But, aside from unpinning, I’m stuck with a “Continue Watching” hub and “On Deck” hubs, which I don’t want.
