The feature I would like to request is some kind of new release section similar to the recently added but without having to create an entire folder for it. If Plex knows what dates the movie/show is released it would be nice if new movies/show that have just been released had some kind of New Release section they populated in on the home screen for a set amount of time. Sometime I will add a bunch of movies at one time and the newest ones just get mixed in depending on how Plex scan recognizes them. I realize I could create a new folder called “New Release” but that would require me moving the file from one folder to another at some point when they aren’t New Release any longer.
A streamline feature from Plex that recognizes the release dates/metadata on new content added to libraries and sorts into the New Release section or if past a certain date just puts in the recently added section, then after a period of time the file will no longer appear in the New Release and just be in the library.
