I tried searching but was unable to find a way to allow home users or friends to control the DVR or watch live tv. They have a plex pass subscription in addition to the main account. If someone could help I am hoping that I don’t have to give out my account pin to allow someone in my home to watch live tv.

Currently only the Admin of a server has access to DVR and Live TV.

Are their plans to add other users?
Not sure about Live TV. Possible issue was brought up over whether allowing other users, not in the same household would violate some laws by making Plex a TV service. Not saying whether that is a concern or not but can see the point. What would prevent me from offering my neighbors to use my Plex server for Live TV and pay me a monthly fee instead of the local cable company. Just add several Prime devices and a $5 monthly fee from cable company for a CableCard for each device, add each neighbor as a user, and I have my own cable service. If they don’t pay me one month I delete their account. I could charge say $25/month, $5 cost for CableCard and I have pocketed $20/month for each user.
If they do add in other users for DVR I hope there is a setting that the Admin can decide whether they want others to be able to use the DVR. Wouldn’t want a friend adding some show for recording and then rearranging the priority list and preventing something shows I like from being recorded because there were not enough tuners to handle the number of recordings scheduled at the same time.
