This seems to have been resolved in the PMS version I just installed on the QNAP.
We have done some testing with the video files you provided before and tested on the Plex Pass 1.7.6 release and the problem is not fixed. Date now showed as 1900.

You’re right, @sa2000 it was my TV app that was not showing dates, confusing me. It does remain there. I will be on the lookout for the next release.

Thanks, @sa2000. I have not forgotten about this. I’m in the middle of moving but will definitely follow up on this, though I have faith the team fixed the issue.
I am trying to do the same as OP. The date for all videos in a Photos library still shows Jan 1 1900. I’m running the latest Plex Server on QNAP (1.8.0) with a Plex Pass.

Hi @sa2000, I’m running Plex 1.8.0 (x64) on my QNAP NAS and several *.mts videos still display the date “Dec 31, 1969” in the timeline view and below the video that’s being played. I sent you a private message with a download link for one example.

can you see if you add this file to a new test photos library gets the date to be the day you added to the library
If it was already in your library then the date would still be what it was set to originally. You would need to move the files out of the folders in the library, do a scan, empty trash and then move the files back and re-scan
The xml you provided shows the file was added to the library 17th January and last update was 18th April
The originally available date database field would have been set then

I will be discussing with the development team if there are other options
@sa2000, thanks for the tip. Removing the file, emptying trash, and putting it back in gives the correct date. It seems there may still be several issues with having videos in the photos library (see my other thread here) but it’s nice that this one is now fixed, at least on my end.
