Home videos dated 1st January 1970?

Hello all,

I have created two libraries for photos and home videos. All of my photographs have carefully manged EXIF / metadata so they all import into the correct dates on the timeline. That is except two videos…

The first is 2016-01-13 14.32.09.mp4 and second 2011-04-26 14.52.00.avi
both the created and modified dates of these files (per properties in windows 10) show dates which are in 2016 and 2011 respectively but they still appear as 1st January 1970 in the two timelines.

I clicked to edit the files (pen symbol) and saw the originally available box had 1970-1-1 in them so i changed them to the the correct dates but still remained at 1970

Any ideas what is going on with these files and how i can fix their dates? I dont believe this is a problem with incorrect dates in the files

Thanks

Maybe you have a virus that changes the date of files?

Check out this thread as well, maybe they will arrive at a solution: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1434250

Well the OP in that thread looks like he might have the same problem, but there is no resolution.
For the plex devs here is my mediainfo for the two files in question

You can’t edit the metadata from within Plex. Get a metadata editor and examine those two files, and correct where necessary.

Read my OP, all of my files have immaculate EXIF and metadata irrespective of photo/video. The created and modified dates are as i would expect - 2016 and 2011 for the two files respectively

Anyone else any ideas? Surely someone has seen this before
