I have many videos in Plex. I have 2 main categories. One for movies and DVD bonus material and another for home videos. On my hard drive i have a specific folder that holds all the home videos and nothing else.
Generally this works well and almost everything sorts correctly.
That said, there’s a handful of home videos that only show in my movie category. Not sure how to make them move to the home video category where id prefer them…
Any thoughts?

Inspect the plex media info of these items.
What is shown as the storage location of them? Is it indeed in the folder which is dedicated to your home videos?
Do you have a separate plex library for your home videos? If so, which folder location did you add to this library? https://support.plex.tv/articles/200289266-editing-libraries/
Please check the same in your movie library.
The two folder should not overlap.
