How can i broadcast the same video content simultaneously to multiple TV's from the 1 plex server

Hi, i am trying to broadcast the same video at the exact same time to 3 televisions on the same network.

Is this possible with or without other hardware?

Any resolution to this problem is appreciated.

Thanks.

That is not really what Plex is designed to do. Playback is controlled mainly by the client not the server.

The only way I know of to do what you want would be to press play on each of the clients at exactly the same time. Even that would be imperfect due to startup times. Better would be to start and then quickly pause the video on each client and the restart on all the clients at the same time. But even that would not result in the videos being synced.

Plex may not be the best solution for what you want to do.

Probably this could help:

It’s very simple using an HDMI/IP repeater such as a Mirabox extender:

amazon.co.uk/Mirabox-Extender-Ethernet-Extension-HSV373/dp/B01FYPQ612/ref=pd_cp_421_4?_encoding=UTF8&refRID=BXNBDHGTB3DSABZ6MPFD&th=1

You can repeat the source from 1 HDMI sender to a max of 253 receivers. Just plug a FireTV stick into the sender, a receiver into each TV, (via wired Gigabit - or search to see if there’s a wireless alternative) and now you have perfect sync for all FireTV content (YouTube, Kodi, iPlayer etc) not just Plex.

I have 4 receivers using this setup, and it’s worked perfectly for over 2 years. And because the FireTV remote control is wifi based not infrared, you can have it all hidden away in another room.
