How to stream Plex movies to multiple TV's on the same LAN network?

How do I stream a movie from my Plex server to multiple TV’s in the same house and same LAN?

  1. Each of your multiple TV’s will need to have a plex client on them.
  2. Each of the Plex clients will need to connect to your Plex Media Server
  3. Make sure all your TV’s are connected to your network.
  4. Play your media

Depending on your network setup and your bandwidth of your network as well as your media server processing power, might limit how many devices you can play at once.

Should be pretty simple. Just install the Plex client on your TVs, or connect a device (Roku, Apple TV, etc, etc and install the Plex client on those) and play away.

I have done all that but when I play the same movie on each TV they are not in sync, they play as separate streams.

Oh, you want all of the TVs in sync? Don’t think thats possible. Each client will play the item independently of the others.

As @jondhoughton said, each client plays them independently, Don’t think its possible to stream them all at once.

That is a very neat idea though. Especially for training videos and and such. Would suggest posting it in the suggestions/enhancements section.

As said already, this is currently not a supported feature of Plex. There is a popular feature request for this if you would like to show your support: [Popular] ‘Tandem Playback’ to several clients
